The 4th annual Tour de Tonka offers more than ever! Along with some distance changes in 2009, we've added many NEW features: First, as an alternative to this year's 62-mile ride we are offering riders an option to split from the 62-milers and add thirteen more beautifully, scenic miles making it a challenging 75-mile route - eventually reconnecting with the 62- milers. Our mid-ride is 38-miles of beautiful views in and around the Lake Minnetonka area and surrounding communities. Once again, we offer a 16-mile family ride that also appeals to the trail enthusiast. All rides begin and end at Minnetonka High School - start time is 7:30 a.m. Tour de Tonka is a fully supported ride and bike helmets are required.
In addition, we've added a 2-Mile Smile ride for our younger bikers (ages 4-7) which will take place on a separate date, the evening of Tues., July 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Join fellow cycling enthusiasts and celebrate the sport of cycling with family, friends, and neighbors by riding in Tour de Tonka this August 1.
